New Delhi: Union Minister Anurag Thakur, Minister of Sports, Youth Affairs, and Information and Broadcasting, emphasized the importance of addressing concerns within the skill gaming industry during his address at the India National Economic Conclave, themed "Modi’s Vision Vikshit Bharat, Challenges & Opportunities." Hosted by Power Corridors & Interactive Forum on Indian Economy (IFIE), the event commenced today at Hyatt Regency, New Delhi.
In his keynote speech, Minister Thakur highlighted the government's commitment to Prime Minister Modi's vision of making India a developed nation and the third-largest economy globally. Gamescraft, Zupee, Bazee Games, Dream11, A23, Games 24x7, and LoCo Gaming were among the big online skill gaming companies that attended the event. However, the most significant development of the day was when Minister Thakur invited the Skillhub Online Games Federation to discuss concerns of the Online Skill Gaming Industry directly with him at his office. This welcome initiative aims to foster dialogue and collaboration between the government and industry stakeholders to address regulatory challenges and find effective solutions.
Furthermore, Minister Thakur emphasized the transformative journey of India under Prime Minister Modi's leadership, highlighting the nation's progress from a state of scams and economic decline to becoming a global powerhouse.
