Solan: The Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) department of Jaypee University of Information Technology (JUIT), Solan, organized a comprehensive week-long “VLSI Design” workshop in partnership with the Department of Technical Education, Vocational and Industrial Training, Government of Himachal Pradesh. The workshop, held from March 04 to March 09, 2024, witnessed enthusiastic participation from over 80 individuals representing various districts of Himachal Pradesh.
The workshop served as a knowledge-sharing platform, featuring distinguished resource persons from renowned organizations in the VLSI/Semiconductor domain. The attendees had the privilege of learning from experts who shared their insights into the current trends and the future trajectory of VLSI/Semiconductor technologies.
The esteemed resource persons included:
1. Dr. H. S. Jattana- Former group head at SCL Mohali and ISRO
2. Dr. Satish Chandra Tiwari- DFT Manager (Principal Design Engineer), NXP Semiconductors

The workshop was structured to be highly interactive, incorporating hands-on exercises utilizing industry-standard EDA tools. Participants engaged in designing, simulating, and verifying digital circuits under the guidance of experienced professionals.
