Amity University Punjab Hosts Successful Two-Day Medical Education and Healthcare Conclave

Mohali: Amity School of Pharmaceutical Sciences (ASPHS), Amity University Punjab, Mohali, in collaboration with the Amity University Punjab Management (AUPM) and the Punjab State Pharmacy Council (PSPC), successfully hosted a two-day Continuing Medical Education (CME) program and Biopharma & Healthcare Conclave (BHC). The events brought together industry experts, healthcare professionals, academicians, and students to delve into the latest advancements and innovations in pharmaceuticals and healthcare services.

 

Day One of the program, themed "Novel Therapies for Respiratory, Metabolic, and Cardiac Disorders," commenced with the ceremonial lamp lighting by esteemed dignitaries, including Prof. (Dr.) R.K Kohli (Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, AUP, Mohali), Dr. Dalip Kumar (Registrar, AUP, Mohali), Dr. Jasbir Singh (Registrar, Punjab State Pharmacy Council), and other notable guests. The day featured a series of expert talks focusing on empowering pharmacists and healthcare professionals through knowledge sharing in cardiac care, metabolic disease management, and innovations in respiratory disease management. These sessions provided invaluable insights and perspectives for the attendees.

 

Day Two highlighted the BIOPHARMA & HEALTHCARE CONCLAVE (BHC) 2024 with the theme "Aligning Biopharmaceuticals, Nutraceuticals, and Innovative Technologies: Choosing the Right Mix for Pharma Business & Healthcare Services." The day commenced with a panel discussion led by distinguished experts from the industry, academia, and healthcare services. Insightful discussions centered around the theme, providing attendees with a comprehensive understanding of the evolving landscape of biopharmaceuticals and healthcare services.

 

During the event, significant collaborations were forged, including Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) between Amity University Punjab and Natural Solutions, Mumbai, and a proposed MOU between FOPE and Varenya Labs. The e-poster session showcased innovative research and ideas by students from various colleges, enriching the academic discourse of the event.

 

Dr. Sandeep Arora (Dean - Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences) and Dr. Tapan Behl (Professor and HoS) extended gratitude to all attendees, speakers, and collaborators for their contributions towards making the event a resounding success.

 

The event concluded on a vibrant note with cultural performances and the distribution of prizes for the best e-poster, fostering camaraderie and enriching the overall experience of the participants.
