Use social media with Caution: Dr. Rajshree Singh

Karnal: A three-day training program on "Cyber Crime Investigation and Cyber Forensics" for public prosecutors and judicial officers commenced on Wednesday at Sardar Patel Hall, Haryana Police Academy, Madhuban. Eighteen public prosecutors and judicial officers from Haryana and Punjab are participating in this program.

 

The inaugural session was graced by the chief guest, Dr. Rajshree Singh, Inspector General of Police, Haryana Police Academy. Dr. C.S. Rao, Director of the Academy, also interacted with the participants during the program.

 

In her address, Dr. Rajshree Singh emphasized the importance of using social media cautiously. She advised against uploading personal pictures on social media platforms, as they can be misused by criminals. Dr. Singh highlighted the critical role of cyber forensics in combating crimes against women and children, noting that cyber harassment predominantly affects these groups. She underscored the necessity of cyber security to prevent cyber crimes and stressed the importance of being well-informed to protect oneself and family members from such threats. Dr. Singh urged immediate reporting of any cyber crime incidents without delay.

 

Dr. Sohan Singh, District Prosecutor of the Academy, welcomed the chief guest and the participants. Anita Rani, Deputy District Prosecutor, presented the program outline and expressed gratitude to the chief guest and the attendees. The event was also attended by Dr. Arun Singh, Deputy Inspector General of Police, and Surendra Singh, Deputy District Prosecutor of the Academy.
