AMBALA: Former Home and Health Minister of Haryana, Anil Vij tiday took a jibe at Congress over the issue of giving a ticket to Vinesh Phogat. He said that if she (Vinesh Phogat) wants to become Congress' daughter from being the nation's daughter, they have no objection to it.
Vij was speaking to media persons today at the BJP election office in Ambala Cantonment. When asked about Bajrang Punia also being given a ticket, he said that Congress had been in contact with them from day one, and it was because of their instigation that the movement (protest) was ongoing; otherwise, a decision for the players would have been made.
Regarding the discontent of those who did not receive tickets after the release of the BJP's first list in Haryana, Anil Vij said that the election is for 90 seats, and many people wanted to contest from each seat. The party has released a list of 67 people after reviewing the candidates. Minor grievances do happen sometimes, and they will be resolved. On the resignations of leaders, he said that efforts will be made to reconcile with everyone.
