Amritsar: As the saying goes, "When Satguru Nanak appeared, the darkness disappeared, and the world was illuminated." People across the country and abroad are celebrating the Prakash Purab (birth anniversary) of the first Guru, Guru Nanak Dev Ji, with great devotion and respect. On this occasion, a large number of devotees are visiting Darbar Sahib and Sri Akal Takht Sahib to bow their heads in reverence.
Today marks the 555th Prakash Purab of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji, and devotees have come to Amritsar's Darbar Sahib to participate in the celebrations. After bowing at Darbar Sahib, devotees received blessings from Guru Ji. There was a visible sense of enthusiasm among the crowd.
During the event, many devotees and their families visited Darbar Sahib, where they took a holy dip in the sacred pool and received blessings from the Guru's home. Long queues of devotees who had come to pay respects could be seen. Despite the cold and thick fog, a massive gathering of devotees was observed at Sachkhand Sri Darbar Sahib.
