January 17, 2025 11:55 AM

Nainital : Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, while addressing a public meeting organized in Mallital here, slammed the Congress, accusing it of indulging in appeasement politics and corruption.

"While on the one hand, the BJP is working for the development of the state, the Congress has always promoted corruption. Congress's politics has always been of appeasement," Dhami said while campaigning for the BJP candidates for the upcoming civic elections.

"For the sake of its vote bank, Congress supports those who want to re-implement Article 370 in Kashmir. He said that it is up to the public to decide with whom they stand - in favour of development and good governance or in favour of appeasement and corruption of the Congress," he added.

The Chief Minister appealed to the voters to make Prakash Arya from Bhawali Municipal Area, Jeevanti Bhatt from Nainital and Kamla Arya from Bhimtal Municipal Area victorious in the upcoming civic elections. During this, despite heavy rain and cold, a large number of people reached to listen to CM Dhami.

Chief Minister Dhami said that the development of basic facilities in Nainital, Bhimtal and Bhawali areas is his government's priority and after registering victory in the civic elections, the development of these areas will accelerate three times.

"Our government is also developing the temples of Kedarkhand as well as Manaskhand area. Along with the development of basic facilities in Nainital, parking has been constructed on the land of enemy property Metropol to get rid of the parking problem," he said.

The Chief Minister said that his government is making every effort to establish happiness, peace and good governance in the state. "The development work done by the BJP government makes it clear that we do not just do politics of promises, but also implement it on the ground," he said.

He said that the public knows very well that voting for Congress and independents means wasting their votes.
"On the coming 23rd January, we all have to vote together in favour of BJP so that the development of the region can be accelerated," he said.
