Chandigarh/ Ropar: The Combined Annual Training Camp (CATC)-180, organized by 2 Chandigarh Battalion NCC, is currently underway at the NCC Academy in Ropar, with participation of 243 cadets from various schools and colleges of Chandigarh in the 10-day camp.
The camp aims to provide rigorous training to the cadets, instilling discipline, leadership, and team-building skills. The training activities include physical training, weapon handling, map reading, drill practice, and lectures on national integration and disaster management. Special sessions are being held to enhance the overall personality development of the cadets.
Colonel Paramjit Singh, Commanding Officer of the 2 Chandigarh Battalion NCC emphasized the importance of the NCC in shaping the nation's youth and fostering camaraderie among cadets from diverse backgrounds.
The CATC-180 is a testament to the NCC's vision of transforming youth into leaders and responsible citizens, making significant contributions to the nation's growth and progress, he added.
