Chandigarh; Haryana Chief Minister, Sh.Nayab Singh Saini on Sunday flagged off five new AC electric buses to the people of Rewari on the occasion of the 76th Republic Day. He emphasized that these buses would not only be environment friendly but would also enhance regional connectivity, offering a new direction and strength to transportation in the area. The Chief Minister said that this initiative by the government aims to provide convenience to local passengers while playing a significant role in environmental conservation.
The Chief Minister further said that over two dozen electric buses across various districts in Haryana have been started, including Rewari, on Republic Day. He said that passengers would be able to avail of free travel on these electric buses for one week.
Highlighting the state's commitment to promoting electric buses, the Chief Minister said the initiative would enhance passenger convenience and contribute to reducing pollution. With the addition of these five new AC electric buses, the Rewari depot's fleet has expanded, ensuring smoother and more comfortable travel options for passengers, said Sh. Nayab Singh Saini.
