SHIMLA: Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu inaugurated the first cultural night of the International Mahashivratri Mahotsav-2025 by lighting the ceremonial lamp on Thursday evening. On this occasion, the district administration Mandi honoured the Chief Minister with a shawl made of silk from Dharampur, a Himachali cap, and a memento.
The main attraction of the first cultural evening was Sufi Singer Lakhwinder Wadali, while India Idol fame Neha Dixit mesmerized the audience with her performance. Other artists also entertained the spectators throughout the event. Artists from Sri Lanka also showcased their performances during the program.
Despite the continuous drizzle in Mandi since Thursday morning, the enthusiasm of the audience at the first cultural evening was remarkable.
MLAs Chander Shekhar and Suresh Kumar, Former Ministers Thakur Kaul Singh and Prakash Choudhary, Chairman APMC Mandi Sanjeev Guleria, Chairman Kangra Co-operative Primary Agriculture and Rural Development Bank Ram Chander Pathania, senior Congress leaders Sohan Lal Thakur, Champa Thakur, Pawan Thakur, Jeevan Thakur, Naresh Chauhan, Jagdish Reddy, Vijay Pal, Chet Ram Thakur, Deputy Commissioner Apoorav Devgan, SP Sakshi Verma and other dignitaries were also present on the occasion.
