DIPR celebrates Maha Shivratri with religious fervor, organizes sweets & milk langar

Chandigarh: The Department of Information and Public Relations, Punjab organized a special religious event and sweets & milk langar dedicated to the auspicious festival of Mahashivratri.

 

The religious ceremony commenced with Shri Ganesh worship in the backside parking of the Punjab Civil Secretariat-1. Subsequently, the Jangam group led by Shiva priest Jagmeshwar delivered a remarkable and traditional rendition glorifying the divine marriage of Lord Shiva and Mata Parvati. The devotional hymns praising Lord Shiva were deeply appreciated by the devotees, who were gathered to listened with profound reverence and enthusiasm. The event concluded with the Shiva Aarti.

 

 

During the event, sweets and milk langar was also served, which attracted thousands of devoted participants. The notable dignitaries including Chief Minister's OSD (Media) Mr. Adil Azmi, Secretary of Information and Public Relations Department Mr. Malvinder Singh Jaggi, Director Mr. Vimal Kumar Setia, Additional Director Mr. Sandeep Singh Garha paid obeisance and served the langar.

 

 

The event was also graced by Olympic medalists Vice Captain Hardik Singh and Gurjant Singh from the Indian Hockey Team. The officials and employees of DIPR and media persons enthusiastically contributed to the event's success.

 

 

The officials and employees of various departments of the Punjab Civil Secretariat-1 and 2, Punjab and Haryana High Court and Punjab Legislative Assembly also participated in the event.
