Chandigarh: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday campaigned in favor of Aam Aadmi Party candidates for the Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections. Both the leaders along with the AAP candidates held road shows in MP's Sewda and Datia and appealed to the people to vote for the Aam Aadmi Party.
Seeing the people who joined in large numbers for the road show, Bhagwant Mann said that this is the sign of change in Madhya Pradesh. Just as people have gathered in large numbers in our road show in Madhya Pradesh today, there used to be a similar enthusiasm among people in Punjab and before that in the people of Delhi.
Attacking the Bharatiya Janata Party government of Madhya Pradesh, Mann said that the people of Madhya Pradesh are suffering due to the corrupt rule of BJP. This time the people of Madhya Pradesh will oust BJP from power in the state and give a chance to the honest politics of the Aam Aadmi Party.
He said that our promises are not 'jumle' like BJP. We have done a lot of work in Delhi and Punjab. When the government is formed here, we will work similarly in MP too. We will provide free electricity to the people, mohalla clinics and good government schools will be built.
He said that Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has done very good work in Delhi. Kejriwal made the government schools of Delhi so good that now in Delhi, children of laborers and rickshaw pullers and children of judges and officers are studying together in government schools.
Whereas in Punjab, we built about 700 mohalla clinics within one and a half years, in which more than 60 lakh people have been treated so far. We are giving 300 units of free electricity every month to the people of Punjab. In the last one and a half years, we gave government jobs to more than 37,000 youth. Tomorrow too job appointment letters will be handed over to 596 candidates in Punjab.
He added that Prime Minister Modi and BJP leaders only do 'jumlebazi' and in the last nine and a half years of its rule, the Modi government has not done anything for the common people. His promises of Rs 15 lakhs turned out to be a jumla and the promise of 2 crore jobs was also another jumla of PM Modi.
