Chandigarh; Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee President, Amarinder Singh Raja Warring, has officially addressed the escalating issue of dengue cases in Muktsar, expressing deep concern and emphasizing the need for immediate preventive measures to curb the alarming rise in cases.
Over the past three months, there has been a substantial and disconcerting 9-fold increase in dengue cases in Muktsar. President Warring raised serious concerns about the effectiveness of the Aam Aadmi Party's approach, citing their focus on rebranding old clinics into new 'Aam Aadmi Clinics' while the dengue situation in Muktsar continues to deteriorate.
In his official statement, President Warring stated, "The persistent rise in dengue cases is alarming. While the Aam Aadmi Party is busy with cosmetic changes, the ground reality in Muktsar is worsening day by day."
President Warring stressed the immediate need for the administration to shift its focus towards preventive measures rather than reactive responses after the cases have been reported. He added, "Authorities must address this matter urgently. Preventive strategies are essential to control the spread of dengue in the region."
Highlighting the gravity of the situation, President Warring provided statistical data, stating, "As of December 12th, there have been 775 reported cases in the district, a significant jump from 87 cases on September 9th. The district is currently witnessing two to three new cases daily, demanding urgent intervention from the administration to mitigate the escalating crisis."
President Warring proposed specific recommendations to address the issue effectively, stating, "The administration in Muktsar must prioritize the elimination of stagnant water in urban areas, where the majority of cases are being reported. Additionally, regular fogging operations need to be conducted to eradicate existing mosquito populations and control the relentless surge in dengue cases in the region."
