Each citizen of the state should plant trees to honour mother under 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam' campaign on PM’s Call - Chief Minister Appeals

Chandigarh,:Chief Minister, Sh. Nayab Singh has appealed to every citizen of the state to plant trees to honour mother under 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam' campaign on PM’s Call. Sh. Nayab Singh emphasized the importance of not only planting the tree but also taking care of it until it stands strong. This is the only way to maintain environmental balance.

Chief Minister, Sh. Nayab Singh was addressing a public gathering at booth number 70 in Pinjore after listening to the 111th episode of Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi's "Mann Ki Baat" programme.

Sh. Nayab Singh stated that under the leadership of Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi, we have a guide who leads not just the nation but the world. The "Mann Ki Baat" program connects the entire nation across various fields. The Prime Minister introduces individuals who have excelled in their respective areas, which inspires others to work for society and the nation.

The Chief Minister pointed out that due to environmental imbalance, the temperature has significantly increased. Nowadays, temperatures exceeding 50 degrees are observed. To address this imbalance, the Prime Minister initiated this campaign, which will continue till July 6. Sh. Nayab Singh pledged that in addition to promoting Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi's initiatives, they will also plant trees on family members' birthdays and take care of them until they grow into trees.

Sh. Nayab Singh said that the work done by the BJP government in the last 10 years surpasses the cumulative development work done by previous governments. He noted that when we look around, we see national highways, green corridors, and expressways. Besides the electrification of railway lines, the country has been given hi speed trains like Vande Bharat. The establishment of AIIMS, medical colleges, and other institutions has strengthened the nation. He urged the workers to promote the work of the central and state BJP governments in every household.

The program was attended by MLA, Sh. Mohan Lal Badoli, State Vice President, Smt. Banto Kataria, Deputy Commissioner, Dr. Yash Garg, DCP, Himadri Kaushik, besides other dignitaries were present.
