Farmers in Hoshiarpur will not be allowed to face shortage of water for crop irrigation/Bram Shankar Jimpa

Hoshiarpur: Cabinet Minister Punjab Bram Shankar Jimpa said that irrigation tubewells are being installed continuously in district Hoshiarpur by the Punjab government. He said that Chief Minister of Punjab Bhagwant Singh Mann thinks that the farmers of the state should not face any problem related to farming. He was addressing the villagers while inaugurating an irrigation tubewell constructed at a cost of about Rs 55 lakh in village Thathlan today.


The Cabinet Minister said that there was a long-standing demand for irrigation tubewell in the village, which has been fulfilled, which will also benefit the small farmers of the village. He said that about 2 km long pipeline has also been laid, which will provide irrigation facility to about 100 acres of land. He said that providing water for crop irrigation is one of the main priorities of the Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, for which the government is constantly making efforts.


Expressing gratitude to the Chief Minister of Punjab, he said that he has left no stone unturned in the development of any area of the state. During this, he also motivated the officers of the Water Resources Department to work harder and with honesty. On this occasion, Stephen Bhatia, Rajan Bassi Ghulam Hussain, Lucky, Resham Chand, Gurmej Chand, Gurdev Chand, Krishna Lal Sarpanch, Sarabjit Kaur Panch, Gurbakhsh Rai, Bashi Ram, Sheetal Ram, Rajkumari, Saroj Kumari, Shindo, Satyadevi, Manjit Kaur, Saroj Rani, Daljit Kaur, Gyan Kaur, Dakshina Devi, Kaushalya Devi, Shamlal, Rani were also present.
