SAD stages protest at Khadoor Sahib over DAP fertilizer shortage and paddy lifting delay

Tarn Taran : Farmers in Punjab are currently grappling with a shortage of DAP fertilizer and paddy lifting under the governance of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann's AAP government and Prime Minister Narendra Modi's central government.

In response to these challenges, a protest and demonstration were organized at the SDM office, Khadoor Sahib , led by Shiromani Akali Dal Vice President, and constituency in-charge Khadoor Sahib and former MLA Ravinder Singh Brahmpura, who also serves as the Chairman of Punjab Rural Development Society.

Expressing their concerns, he highlighted the deteriorating state of affairs under the current government, noting a lack of control and administration, particularly in addressing the dominance of gangsters in Punjab.

 

He emphasized the growing sense of insecurity among citizens due to threats and extortion by criminal elements, signaling a failure on the part of the state government to ensure public safety.

Furthermore, the leaders criticized the delayed paddy lifting in mandis, citing it as a significant shortcoming of the AAP government, leading to prolonged protests by farmers.

He condemned the inefficiency and negligence that have characterized the handling of agricultural issues, stressing the need for urgent action to support the farming community.

The demonstration saw a large turnout of party workers and the public, joining forces in support of farmers and advocating for transparency and accountable governance in Punjab.

The protest aimed to raise awareness and prompt meaningful reforms to address the pressing challenges faced by the agricultural sector and the wider community.

At this moment, SAD district president Alwinderpal Singh Pakhoke, Ramandeep Singh Bharowal, Kuldeep Singh Aulakh, Dalbir Singh Jahangir, Gursewak Singh Shekh, Youth leader Kawardeep Singh Brahmpura, and Former OSD Damanjeet Singh are present.
