CHANDIGARH: CNE on “World Stroke Day" which focusing on raising awareness and enhancing understanding of stroke prevention, recognition and management was organized at NINE, PGIMER, Chandigarh.
Keeping in mind this year's theme on World Stroke Day i.e. "Greater than stroke active challenge" the National Institute of Nursing Education, PGIMER, Chandigarh in collaboration with NSS conducted a CNE to create awareness of stroke and it’s active management. Dr. Dheeraj Khurana, Professor, Department of Neurology, PGIMER graced the event as the Chief Guest and he emphasized the power of sports in conquering stroke.
Around 200 students and faculty from NINE participated in the program. The experts discussed the topic highlighting stroke prevention strategies, acute stroke management, post-stroke rehabilitation and updated the students on best practices for timely intervention and comprehensive care.
Dr Sukhpal Kaur, Principal, NINE emphasized the importance of nurses having core knowledge regarding stroke. She highlights the role of nurses throughout the journey from prevention till rehabilitation of an Individual with stroke. The program was organized by the faculty and students of NINE, PGIMER Chandigarh.
