Haryana Govt to establish a trauma centre every 60 kilometres on all national and state highways

Chandigarh: Haryana Governor, Bandaru Dattatraya while addressing the first session of the State’s 15th Vidhan Sabha on Wednesday said that the progress of any society depends on the health of its members. Therefore, the present state government is working to provide healthcare to every person.

 

Continuing the same, the government has decided that a trauma centre will be established every 60 kilometres on all national and state highways. Besides this, 100 bedded civil hospitals will be upgraded to 200 bedded hospitals and 200 bedded civil hospitals will be upgraded to 300 bedded hospitals. He said that the government will also increase the number of seats in medical colleges to 3,500, while ICU will be set up in the civil hospital of every district.

 

The Governor further informed that Haryana is providing free treatment facility of up to Rs. 5 lakh annually to all citizens with annual family income up to Rs. 1.80 lakh under 'Chirayu Ayushman Bharat Yojana'. Also under Chirayu extension scheme, this benefit is being provided to families with annual income above Rs. 1.80 lakh up to Rs. 3 lakh on annual contribution of Rs.1500 only. Now, the amount for free of cost treatment under Chirayu Scheme will be increased to Rs.10 lakh annually, shared Sh.Bandaru Dattatraya.

 

He said that a free treatment facility of up to Rs. 5 lakhs is also being provided to senior citizens above 70 years of age in the State. He said that the present state government has started providing free dialysis services to all kidney disease patients in the state from October 18, 2024. Presently, dialysis facilities are available in 20 district hospitals and the medical colleges in Karnal, Nuh, and Rohtak.No.
