Haryana to give job postings to Group-C and Group-D female employees in their preferred districts

Chandigarh: Haryana Governor, Bandaru Dattatraya while addressing the first session of the State’s 15th Vidhan Sabha on Wednesday said that in a bid to offer convenience to female employees, soon a policy will be implemented to give job postings to the Group-C and Group-D female employees in their preferred districts, enabling them to work closer to home. Besides this, all women working in night shifts will be ensured safe transport facilities.

He informed that the honorarium of Anganwadi workers has been increased by Rs. 750 and helpers by Rs. 400 per month. Anganwadi workers with 10 years of experience are now receiving Rs. 14750, those with less than 10 years of experience and mini Anganwadi workers are getting Rs. 13250 and helpers are being paid Rs. 7900 only.

The Governor said that dedicated efforts have been made for the successful implementation of the 'Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao' campaign, launched by the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi in 2015 from the historic land of Panipat. He said that the campaign has played a pivotal role in raising awareness in the state. As a result, the gender ratio in the state has improved from 871 in 2014 to over 900.

The Governor said that all those who pass the CET exam but do not get a job in one year will be given a honorarium of Rs. 9000 per month up to next 2 years.

He said that the present state government is continuously working to create a favourable environment for every youth of the state to dream big and turn those dreams into reality. Over the past 10 years, every obstacle that caused youth to struggle or face delays has been eliminated.

He said that the government has abolished interviews for recruitment in Group-C and D jobs. In addition, through merit-based recruitment campaigns, the morale of over 1.70 lakh youths has been uplifted by providing them with government jobs without ‘kharchi-parchi’.

The Governor said that fulfilling its pre-election promise, the present state government has provided government jobs to 26,000 youth. The government has also given job security to nearly 1,20,000 contractual employees deployed under HKRN, as well as those employed through Outsourcing Policy, until the retirement date, he said.

The Governor said that the present state government is committed to providing government jobs to 2 lakh youths.Apart from this, other employment opportunities will be offered to 5 lakh youths and monthly stipend assistance will also be provided through the National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme.

The Government will provide proper guidance and help to the youth wishing to get employment abroad. The problem of the donkey route will be completely eliminated, said Sh. Bandaru Dattatraya.

Top 5 Government Engineering Colleges of the state will be made Haryana Institutes of Technology, Governor

The Governor said that the state government is committed to make Haryana a centre of global education. Training in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and modern skills will be provided in the state. Top 5 Government Engineering Colleges of the state will be made Haryana Institutes of Technology, he informed.


He said that today, Haryana is poised to become a leader in geospatial intelligence and space technology. This is based on India's remarkable progress in AI, machine learning and generative AI. Through the Haryana Space Applications Center (HARSAC) under the Citizen Resources Information Department, my government is advancing community-centred initiatives using Geo-AI to enable socially impactful and inclusive governance, said the Governor.

The Governor said that the present state government, through a strong task force and with the support of industry partners, is working towards an ambitious vision of designing and building its own satellites.

With HARSAC’s commitment to public participation, Haryana is poised to make sustainable and community-centric decisions that will keep us at the forefront of space technology and innovation, he said.

The Governor said that Swami Vivekananda ji has said that education should meet the present needs of the nation and state. For this purpose, the present state government has set a target to fully implement the new National Education Policy by next year. With this, now the youth will have the option to study engineering in Indian languages, he said.

Sports nurseries for different Olympic Games will be set up in every district, Governor

The Governor said that while taking the achievements made by the state players at various national and international stages further, the government has decided that sports nurseries for different Olympic Games will be set up in every district.

Sports incentives up to Rs. 25 Lakh will be made available to every Gram Panchayat, he said.

He said that the government is continuously working to take sports infrastructure to the village level as today our youth are getting new opportunities to move forward in sports as well. Our youth are bringing glory to the country and state by achieving great milestones in the world of sports, said the Governor.

Bandaru Dattatraya said that it is the positive result of effective efforts of the present state government that young players of the state are winning medals in record numbers at the global level. We are proud that just a few days ago, out of the total 6 medals won by the country in the Paris Olympics-2024, 4 medals were won by our players.

Apart from this, 3 players from Haryana were part of the bronze medal winning hockey team.

Similarly, out of the 29 medals won by the country in the Paralympics, 8 were won by players of Haryana. I on my behalf and on behalf of the Haryana Government congratulate them, said the Governor.
