Fourth “Kashmiri Youth Exchange Program” at IISER Mohali from Nov 16

SAS Nagar: After successful organisation of Kashmiri Youth Exchange Programme in the previous years, Nehru Yuva Kendra Sanghthan, working under Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports in collaboration with Ministry of Home Affairs- is organising 4th Kashmiri Youth Exchange Programme 2023-24 during the year 2024-25to provide opportunity to 1800 Kashmiri Youth along with 180 Team Leaders for their visit in 15 important cities of the country.


In this regard, NYK SAS NAGAR is organising a 6-day “Kashmiri Youth Exchange Program” from 16th to 21st November 2024 at IISER Mohali. In this program, 120 Kashmiri Youth accompanied by 12 Team leaders in the age group of 18-22 years will participate from 6 selected districts (Anantnag, Kupwara, Baramulla, Budgam, Srinagar and Pulwama) of Kashmir Valley to explore the culture and heritage of the host state.


The program is aimed to orient and sensitize participants to act as proponents of national unity, integrity and peace among the young people of Kashmir Valley and to provide opportunities to the participants to visit different places of cultural, industrial, historical, religious and educational interest in the country.


Also, to provide opportunities to Kashmiri Youth towards the technological and industrial advancement that have taken place in different states of the country with focus on various development activities, skill development, educational & availability of employment opportunities.


The delegates will visit the Punjab Vidhan Sabha, Chapad Chiri, Chattbir Zoo , Sukhna Lake, Rock Garden , Rose Garden etc. They will also participate in campaigns like “Swachtha hi Sewa” and “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam”. Awareness sessions on Flagship programs of Government of India, Leadership skills, Career guidance & Counselling, Entrepreneurship etc will be held for the Kashmiri youth. The group will return on 21st November 2024.
