November 15, 2024 05:42 PM

Chandigarh: Haryana Chief Minister, Sh Nayab Singh Saini said that the state government has decided to name the 700-bedded government hospital being built in Gurugram at an estimated  cost of Rs 1000 crore after Sh Guru Nanak Dev Ji. This decision was made during the ongoing session of Haryana Vidhan Sabha on November 14, 2024. Besides, on the occasion of Prakash Parv of Sh Guru Nanak Dev Ji, the second installment of bonus amounting to Rs 300 crore has been released to the farmers today.

Sh Nayab Singh Saini was interacting with the media persons after paying obeisance at Gurudwara Nada Sahib in Panchkula near here today. The Chief Minister said that he has prayed for the economic well-being and prosperity of the state.

He said that it has also been decided to name the 77 acres of land at Chilla Sahib Gurudwara in Sirsa to Gurudwara itself, where Sh Guru Nanak Dev Ji had spent 40 days. This is a matter of great pride for all of us, he added.

The Chief Minister said that a portal has also been launched today to resolve the enhancement related disputes of the plot holders of Haryana Shehri Vikas Pradhikaran (HSVP). Over 7,000 plot holders would benefit from this initiative. This portal would remain open for six months starting from November 15, 2024.

He said that the government would issue soil health cards to 40 lakh farmers, which will provide vital information on improving the fertility of their land. These cards, which are prepared every three years, will help farmers make informed decisions to enhance the quality and productivity of their soil.

In response to a question regarding the land for the construction of the Haryana Vidhan Sabha building in Chandigarh, Chief Minister Sh Nayab Singh Saini said that the Punjab government should focus on taking decisions that are in the best interests of the farmers. He emphasized that the Punjab government must prioritize buying farmers' crops and addressing their genuine concerns. The Punjab government is raising these issues to divert public attention from its own shortcomings.

The Chief Minister said that if the Congress government had made decisions in the interest of the people, the people of Haryana would not have worked to defeat them. He added that similarly, the people of Punjab will take similar steps and ensure the defeat of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in the future.

The Chief Minister said that centuries ago, Sh Guru Nanak Dev Ji taught humanity the lesson of 'Kirat Karo, Naam Japo and Wand Chhako'. The state government has considered the words and teachings of Baba Nanak as paramount. The teachings of Sh Guru Nanak Dev Ji will always be remembered for spiritual enlightenment, worldly prosperity and social harmony.

Chairman of Sikh Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee Haryana, Baljit Singh Daduwal praised the Haryana government for its efforts in taking several decisions in the interest of farmers. Sh Daduwal also commended the government for two significant initiatives: the noble decision to name the 700-bedded hospital in Gurugram after Sh Guru Nanak Dev Ji, and the handover of the 77 acres of land to the Gurdwara Chilla Sahib in Sirsa.

On this occasion, MLAs namely Smt Shakti Rani Sharma and Sh Randhir Panihar were also present.
