DHARAMSHALA : Chairman of Krishi Upaj Mandi Samiti District Kangra Nishu Mongra said during a press conference in Kangra on Wednesday that it is a matter of pride for the region that Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu has appointed Ajay Verma as the Vice President of HRTC. He said that under the system change of the government, people are being given important responsibilities. He said that Ajay Verma does not belong to any political family. He made his identity from the NSUI student organization during college days and played an important role in the Congress party, on the basis of which today he has been placed on an important post in the government.
Nishu Mongra said that on his arrival from Shimla to Kangra on Wednesday, he will be given a warm welcome and a public meeting will be held at Kangra Tehsil Chowk. He said that for the last 15 years, there was a kind of desolation in the Kangra Legislative Assembly, which has been removed by the Chief Minister. He said that the Chief Minister has initiated all-round development in Kangra in the last two years and the new responsibilities entrusted by the government will give a new lease of life to the Kangra Assembly constituency.
He said that Himachal Road Transport Corporation is such a department with which every person is connected and travels in its buses. He said that now people will be able to get bus facility in such Changar areas where there is no transport facility. Nishu Mongra said that efforts are being made to provide full benefit to the farmers through the responsibility of Krishi Upaj Mandi Samiti District Kangra given to me by the Chief Minister. He said that now development works are being expedited on priority basis in the Kangra Assembly constituency.
He said that the Chief Minister has a special attachment towards Kangra and today the district is being developed as a tourism capital. He said that this will increase the immense possibilities of tourism in the coming time and will also provide employment opportunities. Congress leader Nageshwar Mankotia said that by first appointing Nishu Mogra as the President of Krishi Upaj Mandi Samiti, District Kangra and now appointing Ajay Verma as the Vice President of SRTC, the Congress will move ahead strongly in Kangra. He said that to make the Congress stronger, everyone will move ahead by forming a team, which will benefit the people of all the regions.
