Kurukshetra: Institute of Mass Communication & Media Technology, IMCMT Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra organised Industry-Academia Meet' to celebrate World Printing Day under the joint aegis of Himachal Pradesh Print and Pack Association.
On this occasion, Print and Pack Association Himachal's advisor Surendra Jain said that there is a plethora of job opportunities in packaging printing. Mr Jain said that the students can become entrepreneurs and provide jobs to others by establishing their startups with innovative ideas and in depth knowledge of their packaging field. Prof. Maha Singh Poonia, Director, Institute of Mass Communication & Media Technology said that the students are the brand ambassadors of the institute and the university.
Prasant Vats from Operation and Legal, India Printing Packaging and Allied Machinery Manufacturing Association said that printing Industry has been offering numerous avenues of job growth because of digitalization.
Mukesh Jain, Director of Riddhi Packwell, said that the packaging is an integral component to transport, handle and store a product. Rajiv Gulati, Director of Packwell Containers, said that automatic plants, under hygienic conditions and strict quality control enable the manufacturing of paper packing materials. Dr. Ranesh Rana, President of National Union of Journalist (North John), said that students have to read and write regularly to move ahead in life because the ladder of any kind of success passes through these two aspects. Rashi, Director Spectra Ambala, while sharing her views, said that in the printing and packaging industry, initially one needs to work hard for one year.. The coordinator of the Program, Kanwardeep Sharma, while moderating the event, said that such industrial and academic meet will be conducted frequently in the near future imbibing the spirit of NEP 2020.
