New Delhi: Direct Selling–Women Entrepreneurs Summit 2025 was organized by ADSEI and CAIT at Indira Gandhi Stadium in Delhi on International Women's Day. On this occasion, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said that direct selling is a sector which has brought a huge opportunity for women in a background like India. Women have to play dual roles, and we have the strength that we can do everything that no one else can do.
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami laid special emphasis on "Nari Shakti" and said that today's women are moving ahead in every field. The Chief Minister mentioned the steps taken by his government for women's safety and empowerment. He also informed about the schemes being run by the Central Government in the interest of women. Dhami said that the government is constantly trying to uplift women and increase their participation, so that they can move forward in every field and become self-reliant.
Former Union Minister Smriti Irani said that the power of direct selling is immense. In India, its potential can be up to Rs 16 lakh crore, but at present we have reached only 25 thousand crores. In the next 10 years, we aim to take it to Rs 2 lakh crore.
ADSEI President Dr. Sanjeev Kumar said that due to the UCC law, women of Uttarakhand are feeling more secure. He said that this time we are celebrating Women's Day with 10 thousand women, and next year we will celebrate it with 50 thousand women. He expressed hope that in the coming 10 years, India will achieve the number 1 position in the world in the field of direct selling.
CAIT General Secretary Praveen Khandelwal said that a large number of women from economically weaker sections are associated with direct selling, who have made a successful attempt to provide economic support to their families by working in this field. CAIT and ADSIC are working together to provide economic and social strength to women.
Direct Selling Awards were also organized during the summit in which Namrata Jadhav, Monika Pandey, Jyoti Yadav, Sonam Tyagi, Ratna Sangolkar and Sonali Kumari were honored as “Direct Selling Women Icon of the Year”
