Punjab De Sher launches its team jersey under the aegis of CCL

Chandigarh, Punjab De Sher launched its team jersey in view of the Celebrity Cricket League (CCL) which is going to start from February 23 at Sharjah, UAE. Team owner Puneet Singh and co-owner cum player Navraj Hans along with other players of the team also marked the occasion. Those who included were Binu Dhillon, Aparshakti Khurana, Dev Kharoud. Dakssh Ajit Singh, Rahul Jaitley, Mayur Mehta, Babbal Rai, Suyyash Rai, Manmeet Singh, Gavie Chahal, Ninja, Viral Patel and Sahil Anand.

This is the tenth edition of CCL which is being organized in Sharjah as well as in India in a bigger format than in previous years. Speaking on the launch occasion during a press conference organized at Hotel Hyatt Regency, Puneet Singh said that as many as 200 cinestars from all the eight film industries of the country are participating in this league. The league will end with the final on March 17. He said that the team is very excited and has the ability to give a tough challenge to other teams. In the last months, the team's players have improved their game during many exhibition matches. The participating teams have been divided into two groups. The team will start its campaign against Chennai Rhinos in Sharjah on February 25. Thereafter, the team will face Telugu Warriors at Hyderabad on March 1. The team will take on Bengal Tigers at their Home Ground, Chandigarh on March 8 followed by two matches against Bengal Tigers and Mumbai Heroes on March 9. The team is being led by Sonu Sood

CL had organized this event from Visakhapatnam in the year 2011. In the year 2014, big cricketing legends like Sachin Tendulkar joined the event and CCL expanded with the participation of eight teams. The T10 format was introduced in 2019, which was later changed to four innings of ten overs each. In 2023, the scope of CCL will become bigger with digital reach due to which CCL will make its place in the hearts of three billion people.
