IGNOU launches new course in MBA Healthcare and Hospital Management: Dr. Dharam Pal

Chandigarh:Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), Ministry of Education, Government of India, Regional Center Karnal has recently launched a new MBA programme in Healthcare and Hospital Management.

 

Regional Director, Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), Ministry of Education, Government of India, Regional Center Karnal, Dr. Dharam Pal said that this programme aims to develop a pool of trained professionals who can be employed in both private and government healthcare institutions, related organisations, and hospitals across the country, including remote areas, to ensure quality healthcare.

 

He stated that the programme aims to identify and analyse key issues in the effective management of national and international healthcare institutions. It also seeks to promote national and global thinking and intercultural understanding in the healthcare sector. Also, the goal is to communicate effectively with all stakeholders for multidisciplinary team management to achieve quality healthcare, social responsibility, and ethics, and to adopt the latest technologies in hospitals and healthcare, he added.

 

He further shared that to be eligible for this programme, candidates must have a graduate degree with at least 50 percent marks for the general category and 45 percent for reserved categories, as per the Government of India's criteria. The minimum duration of the programme is 2 years, and the maximum is 4 years. The fees for the first and second semesters are Rs.15,500 per semester, Rs.19,500 for the third semester, and Rs.17,500 for the fourth semester. Interested candidates can apply on the IGNOU website www.ignou.ac.in until June 30, 2024.
