Rotary Mohali Midtown hands over 20 RO Systems to Govt Schools

SAS Nagar: Rotary Club of Mohali Midtown donated 20 RO systems at a function held at Government Primary School Naraingarh Jhungia to improve drinking water quality for students of government schools.


The event was graced by SDM Mohali Deepankar Garg as Chief Guest, along with DEO Prem Kumar Mittal and Tehsildar Arjun Singh Grewal, who applauded the initiative. The President Rtn Dilpreet Singh Boparai handed over the ROs to the District Education Officer supported by the members of Rotary Club Mohali Midtown Rtn Kuldip Singh Dhodhy Vice President, Rtn Jagdeep Singh Director Club Service, Rtn Iqbal Singh Director Community Service, Rtn Harjeet Singh sergeant at arms, Rtn Prabhjot Kaur Club Secretary, Rtn Hardeep Singh, Rtn Ankit Beri and President-Elect Rtn Aameep Sinha were present at the occasion.

 

About 20 Govt schools in Rural areas were identified by the screening of DEO Prem Kumar Mittal, keeping in view the school is rural with a headcount of more than 200 students and not having an RO installed previously in the school.


Rotary Club of Mohali Midtown also honored 14 teachers from government schools with the Nation Builder Award on 16th September 2024 recognising the outstanding contributions of teachers in the field of education. The teachers were selected by the Education department for the exemplary work done by the teachers in various fields of education and social development of the students.
