Kurukshetra: Kurukshetra University Teachers' Club organized Children's Day Prize Distribution Ceremony on the eve of Lohri festival at RK Sadan. It is worth mentioning that the Teachers' club organised various competitions for children on 4th and 5th January 2025 like poetry recitation, singing, dancing, and mono acting and the winners were honoured yesterday by the Chief Guest, Vice Chancellor, Kurukshetra University,Prof Som Nath Sachdeva. On this occasion, Prof. Sachdeva congratulated Teachers' club organising team and extended his Lohri and Makar Sankranti wishes and said.
"These festivals celebrate social unity and life's blessings." Prof Sachdeva added that these festivals not only keep our traditions alive but also give us the message of staying connected with Nature and society. The programme was conducted by Dr. Priyanka Chaudhary, Secretary, Teachers' Club. Dr. Gyan Chahal, President, Kurukshetra University Teachers' Club, welcomed the guests and presented the report of Children's Day celebration.
Dr. Vivek Kumar delivered the vote of thanks. Deputy Director, PRO, Dr Jimmy Sharma informed that after the Prize Distribution Ceremony, a bonfire was lit on the auspicious occasion of Lohri to celebrate this holy festival with great delight and the event concluded with a dinner organised at the Teachers Club.
