State Government Provides Financial Assistance of Rs. 367.59 Crore to 2.25 Lakh Destitute Children: Dr. Baljit Kaur

Chandigarh: Punjab’s Social Security, Women, and Child Development Minister, Dr. Baljit Kaur, stated that financial assistance has been provided to nearly 2.25 lakh children across the state.


Providing further details, Dr. Baljit Kaur informed that a total of Rs. 367.59 crore has been provided as financial assistance for 2.25 lakh destitute children in Punjab.She further highlighted that the state government had allocated a budget of Rs. 377.00 crore for the welfare of destitute children during the current financial year, out of which Rs. 367.59 crore has already been utilized for their benefit.

 

Dr. Baljit Kaur emphasized that the government, under the leadership of Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann, is continuously striving to transform Punjab into a prosperous state. The financial support provided for the holistic development and welfare of destitute children is a significant step in this direction.

 

She also urged the department officials to spread awareness about these schemes to ensure that a maximum number of children can avail the benefits of government initiatives.
