Chandigarh:CM Nayab Singh Saini said that the budget presented by the central government will empower the poor and farmers, and provide employment opportunities for the youth. The budget will help provide a roof over the poor's heads. The budget provisions will accelerate the country's development and fulfill Prime Minister, Sh. He said that over the last nine and a half years, the present state government has made extensive use of information technology to reform government functioning, enabling the poor to benefit from government schemes more transparently and fairly.
He said the present state government is providing government jobs based on merit only, abolishing the old ‘Parchi Karchi’ system. The state government will not let the efforts of the ‘Bharti Roko gang succeed, and will provide employment to the youth based on merit, said Sh. Nayab Singh Saini.
The Chief Minister said that the Haryana State Narcotics Control Bureau has been established to curb drug abuse in the state.
