More than 25 lakh students are studying in government schools: Education Minister

Rewari: Haryana Education Minister Seema Trikha said that more than 25 lakh students are getting Sanskar yukt education in government schools across the state. It is the constant endeavour of the government to provide quality education to all students for their all-round development and to nurture their future.


He said that under the guidance of Chief Minister Naib Singh, the state government was continuously working to further improve the standard of education and provide better resources and other facilities to the students. He said that School Management Committees (SMCs) are playing an important role in improving the functioning of schools.


The members of the SMC are the strong unit of the Education Department and the members of the committee are constantly striving to improve the quality of education.


Education Minister Seema Trikha was the chief guest at the training and conference of the district level school management committee held at Jat Dharamshala Rewari on Wednesday. Dr. V. P. Yadav, Chairman, Haryana Board of School Education, Bhiwani was the Chief Guest on the occasion. The main attraction of the programme was the presentation of meritorious exhibits, felicitation of the best school management committees, star teachers and meritorious students.


The Education Minister said that training programmes of district level school management committees are being organized in all 22 districts of the state. He informed that MSc was created under the Right to Education Act 2009. MSC members, especially women, must take two hours before lunch time and after lunch time in government schools by forming groups of two each and during this time check the quality of mid-day meals being given to the students in the schools.


He said that the work being done by the SMC members in the field of education is commendable. He said that SMC is an important link in the overall development of the school.


The Education Minister said that she would present every suggestion given by the SMC members to the Chief Minister so that the quality of education could be improved as much as possible. He appealed to the teaching community to start the day with Jai Hind along with Good Morning and Namaste in the prayer meeting.


It is our responsibility to show the right path to the younger generation so that their future is bright. He said that in today's environment, along with education, it is also very important to educate children. If children have sanskars, then the feeling of love for the nation will also be strong in them.


Education Minister Seema Trikha called upon the School Management Committee (SMC) members to pay special attention to the studies of children in schools as well as the quality of food served to children under the mid-day meal scheme. He said that the shortage of teachers in schools will be met soon. The objective of organizing this programme is to provide detailed information to the School Management Committee (SMC) constituted in the school regarding its basic functions and responsibilities.


The government is trying to ensure that students do not face any kind of problem. He said that the central and state governments have worked to provide relief to the people standing at the last rung of the society. The government prepared schemes keeping Antyodaya at the centre.


The Education Minister appealed to the children and parents to plant saplings at home, school and nearby open areas under the 'Ek Vriksha Maa Ke Naam' scheme. He said that in the last nine and a half years, the present government has built colleges in the state. This will ensure a bright future for our coming generations. Haryana is also following the vision of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi to make India developed by 2047. He said that the MSC members must hold a meeting between parents and teachers in a year.


On the training side of the school management committees, APCs Hemant, Charan Singh, Krishan Kumar and Reenu gave information related to the training in different sessions of the program.On this occasion, the best school management committees of the district in different areas were awarded, among which the names of Siaha, Palhawas, Kanwali, Zainabad, Googor, Bawal, Tatarpur Istamurar, Motla, Bithwana, Berli, Sudharana Kasola, Manethi etc. are notable. Toppers, star teachers and mentors of various faculties of class X and XII of the district were specially decorated in the programme.
