YAMUNANAGAR: Yamunanagar Yoga Association organised a district level yoga competition for girls at Guru Nanak Girls College.About 250 participants from various schools, colleges and yoga centers of the district participated in this competition. On this occasion, Dr. Vijay Dahiya and retired Comment Director Sports Mr. Parminder Singh Sandhu were present. The competition was inaugurated by Guru Nanak Girls College Director Dr. Varinder Gandhi and concluded by Dr. Harvinder Kaur Principal GN G College. Prizes were distributed to the winners.
Dr. Meenakshi Gupta, Head of Physical Education Department was the coordinator of the programme. Assistant Professors of the college Gurvinder Kaur, Monica Chopra, Shabnam Bharti, Sharmila, Ravinder Kaur, Gurjinder Kaur, Aarti, Sapna contributed. On the closing ceremony of the competition, Dr. Virendra Gandhi inspired the children to adopt yoga in their lives.
