Haryana has become a 'migration state' under BJP rule- Hooda

September 29, 2024 04:24 PM

Kalayat (Kaithal):  Former Chief Minister and Leader of Opposition Bhupinder Singh Hooda has said that the BJP government has made Haryana a 'migration state' as companies, youth, businessmen and opportunities are migrating out of the state.

“Companies and businessmen are migrating from Haryana due to fear of ransom, youth are migrating to other states and countries due to lack of employment. Farmers are migrating from farming due to lack of respect. Youth, unhappy with Agniveer, moved away from the stadiums and jobs of Haryana are migrating to other states,” he stated.

Addressing an election meeting in Jakholi of Kalayat today, Hooda said the continuous exodus of talent and opportunities from Haryana is very worrying. “Stopping this will be the first priority of the Congress. The Congress government will ensure that criminals, miscreants, drug addiction, unemployment, inflation and dictatorship are forced out from Haryana and the state becomes the number one state in the country in development and prosperity,” he stated.

Along with Hooda, the public meeting was addressed by Hisar MP Jaiprakash, former MP Surinder Singh Barwala, senior leader Phool Singh Kheri, Rambhaj and many others. All appealed for votes for Congress candidate Vikas Saharan.
Hooda said that Kalayat will get 3 MLAs with one vote, himself, Jaiprakash and the third (Congress candidate) Vikas Saharan. “Make Vikas win with a big majority and ensure Kalayat's important participation in the coming government,” he said.

On this occasion, BJP Kisan Mandal President Satbir Gill, Aam Aadmi Party District President Deepak Rana and District Council Chairman Deep Malik, who left JJP, joined Congress. Along with them, 11 out of 17 members of the Block Committee also left BJP and JJP and joined Congress.

Hooda once again mentioned the problems of paddy farmers. He said during the Congress tenure, paddy procurement will start from September 15. whereas BJP keeps giving dates to farmers every time. “Paddy has started arriving in the markets from the 15th. But first the government said that procurement will start from September 15, then September 23 and now it is being said as October 1,” he stated.

“After the farmers' protest, procurement was announced from September 27, but till now no agency has started work in the markets. Due to lack of government procurement, farmers are forced to sell their paddy at Rs 500 below the Minimum Support Price announced by the government.

Speaking at the rally, Congress Hisar MP Jaiprakash said Congress has released a manifesto which fulfils the expectations of every section. “The Congress government is going to give Rs 6000 pension to the elderly, Rs 2000 per month to women, OPS to employees and 2 lakh permanent jobs to the youth. Congress also promises to remove the backwardness of Kalayat,” he stated.
