Chandigarh: Senior leader of the Aam Aadmi Party and Punjab Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema strongly condemned Home Minister Amit Shah’s derogatory remarks in Parliament regarding Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar.
Harpal Cheema said that Amit Shah not only insulted Baba Saheb Ambedkar but also the Dalit community. He said that by making this statement, the Home Minister tried to demean the Dalit community of the country. He must immediately apologize to the people of the country.
Cheema said that it is extremely unfortunate that the country’s Home Minister mocked the architect of the Constitution, Baba Saheb Bhimrao Ambedkar, in Parliament. He further said that Amit Shah’s statement has caused a sense of disappointment within the Dalit community of the country. The Bharatiya Janata Party must clarify its stance on this issue and immediately apologize to the Dalit community.
He said that the Bharatiya Janata Party hates the country’s Constitution and Baba Saheb Bhimrao Ambedkar. This hatred has always been in their hearts, but that day it came out in words. These statements reflect that the Bharatiya Janata Party wants to abolish the Constitution because they are afraid of Ambedkar’s ideology.
