KUK Ratnawali 2024 to reflect swadeshi and self-reliant India model: KU VC

Kurukshetra:  Department of Youth and Cultural Affairs, Kurukshetra University is going to organize state level cultural festival Ratnawali from 25 to 28 October. During the conversation, Kurukshetra University Vice Chancellor Prof. Som Nath Sachdeva said that the four-day state level Ratnavali Mahotsav will exhibit the Swadeshi products and self-reliant India model.

 

Along with this, the Startup India initiative will gain new strength through self-made goods of university students as these students will earn profit by selling the items made by their own hands. Director, DYCA, Prof. Vivek Chawla informed that Haryanvi local food will be promoted in Ratnawali as Haryanvi cuisine is a symbol of our folk culture and is also sattvik and nutritious. Deputy Director, Public Relations Department, Dr Jimmy Sharma informed that this year Haryanvi songs will be presented in Ratnawali's opening ceremony and the ceremony will start with the Loor dance performance which has become extinct in Haryana.

 


Dr Sharma added that the students of KU Tourism Department, Home Science Department, IIHS etc. will be the centre of special attraction in Ratnavali Craft Fair and all the organizing committees have ensured the timely arrangements of the festival.
