SHIMLA: Delegations of various Unions of Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) met Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri here today and appreciated the steps being taken by the State Government to protect the interests of the employees. The delegations thanked the Deputy Chief Minister for releasing Rs. 10 crore as overtime allowance to the employees of the Corporation.
The Deputy Chief Minister said that the State Government understands the problems of the employees of the HRTC and was committed towards their welfare. The Government was constantly making efforts to fulfill all their legitimate demands and concrete steps would be taken for the welfare of the employees.
He said that as per the assurance given by him to release the overtime allowance soon, the state government has recently released Rs. 10 crore as overtime allowance and an additional Rs. 5 crore was released earlier this month. He added that a total of Rs. 15 crore has been transferred to the employees' accounts this month.
