Chandigarh: Education Minister Sh. Mahipal Dhanda said Haryana has become the first state in the country to implement the National Education Policy-2020. With this policy, children will be made skilled in entrepreneurship along with education. Through this, the youth will be able to get self-employment instead of seeking jobs. The aim of the education policy is also to make the youth self-reliant.
The Education Minister was speaking as the chief guest at the annual festival and prize distribution ceremony organized at Sanjay Gandhi Omparkash Garg Memorial School Babain (Kurukshetra) today.
He said the objective of the state government is to provide as many jobs as possible. Keeping this in mind, several schemes are also being prepared. Youth are also being encouraged to do self-employment. The Education Minister said the teachers should find out the subject of interest of all the children in the class and teach accordingly. Teachers will have to provide education according to today's needs.
He said the state government is providing more facilities in government schools, so that the students do not remain deprived of education. The government has also provided books to the students on time.
